Rootabaga – August 16, 2020

This week’s subscription includes everything you need to make fresh salsa, including cilantro. Are you a cilantro lover? I am and fresh salsa is one of those summer favourites I look forward to all year, it’s just not the same as cooked/canned salsa, although if you have a salsa recipe you swear by I am open to suggestions! I’m planning to make this salsa at the beginning of the week and then use it in a few meals as the week goes on!

This week’s subscription includes:
Large
Broccoli – Grown conventionally by Randsland in Canning, NS
Carrots – Grown spray free by Elmridge Farm in Centreville, NS
Field Tomatoes (Quart) – Grown spray free by Elmridge Farm in Centreville, NS
Green Onions – Grown spray free by Snowy River Farms in Cooks Brook, NS
Cabbage – Grown certified organic by Taproot Farms in Port Williams, NS
Beets – Grown certified organic by Taproot Farms in Port Williams, NS
