Another week closer to summer! Even if we don’t exactly know what this summer is going to look like, you can rest assured that we will be supplying you with all of your favourited seasonal fruits and veggies including strawberries, new potatoes, peas, peaches, beans, corn and any other local produce you can think of. Rumour has it asparagus is just around the corner, which I am very excited about!
This week’s subscription includes parsnips grown by Elmridge Farm. These parsnips were only harvested last week after spending the winter in the ground. Did you know that the frost in the ground over the winter actually makes parsnips and carrots even sweeter? I’m looking forward to roasting them in the oven with a bit of maple syrup!
