Rootabaga – November 3, 2019

This week’s Rootabaga Subscription includes watermelon radish from Taproot Farms in Port Williams. Watermelon radishes are an heirloom variety of daikon radish, they are firm, crisp and mild and taste slightly peppery and sweet. The watermelon radish can be eaten raw, pickled, fermented or cooked and adds a vibrant hot pink colour to whatever dish you choose to use them in.
