Happy Canada Day! Sorry we missed posting our Subscription details last week, you may have heard that we were in the hospital having our sweet little boy on Friday. As you can imagine things got a little behind, but we are back on track this week!

Sunday Snowy River Farms Free Range Chicken Thighs with steamed beet greens and cucumbers & vinegar
Monday Broccoli & Thai Tofu Stirfry
Tuesday BBQ Snowy River Farms Pork Chops with grilled asparagus
Wednesday Veggie pita with hummus, lettuce, radishes, asparagus and cucumber
Thursday BBQ (Grass Fed Getaway Farms Beef) Hamburgers topped with tomatoes and lettuce served with green salad
Friday Pizza Night
Saturday Pan fried haddock with roasted beet salad

Grilled Asparagus

Ingredients
  • 1lb fresh asparagus, woody ends trimmed
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • salt & pepper
  • fresh parmesan, grated (optional)
Instructions
  1. Preheat BBQ to high heat
  2. Lightly toss asparagus with olive oil
  3. Season with salt & pepper
  4. Gently place asparagus on grill, perpendicular to the grate
  5. Grill for 2-4 minutes, depending on preferred crunchiness
  6. Sprinkle freshly grated parmesan over top to serve if desired
